Character History:
Jason was born to a lower middle-class family in the slums of Dublin. His father was a physician therefore gone many hours of the day and night. His mother was a nurse before she had him but then became a stay-at-home mom to watch after him and his two younger sisters. His family were also devout Christian in the Lutheran faith. (Jason didn't agree with many things said in the denomination.)
When Jason was ten he got a job to pass out papers for a newspaper company. He did this for about one year.
One day while Jason was eleven he was walking home from work when he heard a scuffle in an alley-way.His curiousity overcame him so he walked down there to see three boys running and a small thing on the ground. He went over to see what it was until he realized it was a young girl. Her face had been badly bruised and she had a big scrape on her knee.Jason helped her by taking some water he carried with him and running it over the scrape. He then took the cleanest patch off of his raggety coat and wrapped it around the wound. The girl repaid him with a hug.
When Jason was fifteen he started to get very interested in his father's work.He started going to work with his father and observing him after school on weekdays. Here he started to learn very much about medical supplies, medicines, and the basics of medicine.
Later on in Jason's life when he was eighteen he left his home to find something better for his life because he knew the only thing that could come of him in Dublin was poverty. So he got on a ship and went to England and found a job as a woodcutter for a very rich family. But Jason got tired of this life very quickly and decided to move on.
Before his twentieth birthday Jason travelled to Germany where he was able to do rehabilitation for people who had been in accidents and stitch up a few people. This is what he truly enjoyed.
Military Rank:
Hospitalman Class 3
Writing Sample: (Bombing raid in London)
Jason was just getting done with carrying a man to the medical tent when he heard an explosion. "MEDIC!!!! MEDIC!!!" was all Jason could hear.He ran as fast as he could to where the voice came from. There he saw a man with his lower half completely obliterated and a man holding him on the verge of tears. "Don't die on me buddy. Please don't. Remember your mother." the man holding him told the wounded man.
Jason knew he couldn't save the man the minute he saw him but went over anyway. He kneeled next to the man and took out a syrette with morphine and gave it to the wounded man.Jason then started to try and calm the man down by telling him words of encouragement. The wounded man started talking so Jason put his head close enough so he could hear. "Yea,though I walk through the valley of the...sh...sh..." he abruptly stopped. So Jason finished his sentence by saying "Shadow of death,I will fear no evil. For Thou art with me." Jason then kissed the man's forehead and shed a small tear and asked God to rest his soul. The other man started to cry and cradle his fallen friend.
Jason walked into the tent and saw a boy maybe two years younger than him. (eighteen) His face was bleeding and had a small bit of shrapnel in his face.Jason called for some tweezers and morphine. He gave a small doseage of morphine to deaden the pain the boy was feeling. He took the tweezers quickly and accurately took out the shrapnel.Jason then called for a bandage and wrapped it around his head very carefull not to hurt him.
After about an hour everything was silent.Jason took a seat and sighed heavily. "Lord, have mercy on the men that fell today. And also have mercy on those that caused them to." He then remembered a few casualties and cried very slightly.
