Character History:
Klaus J. Piper was born in Johannisburg in German-controlled East Prussia on June 27th, 1919, the day before the famous Treaty of Versailles was signed by several combatants of WWI. His biological mother was Annmarie Krueger, and his biological father an unnamed British Lance Corporal who brutally raped his mother, who had lived in West Germany, during the war. Klaus had a problematic childbirth, which ultimatly leaded to the death of Annmarie Krueger. The doctors were just able to save newborn Klaus, who they sent to a adoption agency in Konigsburg. Klaus lay there for nearly a month living in the insect-infested cribs and staring at the cold, grey, stone walls. Then the wealthy doctor Niklaus Piper and his wife, Olga Piper, adopted the baby and named him Klaus, and hearing the sad story of the rape of his biological mother by the Briton, appointed Johnathan as Klaus's middle name in celebration of his half English heritage.
Dr. Piper was a distinguished surgeon of the heart, and owned a huge mansion inside the city of Berlin. Mrs. Piper was a plump, jolly woman who devoted much time to young Klaus, raising him well and feeding him often. During the first four years of his life, Klaus lived secludedly and happily. When he started school, he was an ecellent student even at a very young age. As Klaus turned six, his parents hired a nanny to take care of the young boy, and Klaus was transferred to the best private school in Berlin. There he studied, and Dr. Piper would spend every Sunday evening teaching Klaus about basic medical knowledge. Klaus loved those private lessons with his father, and he knew he was destined to become a great doctor. Klaus had vivid dreams about what he would become when he grew older. He thought he knew what he wanted to be when he grew up, but it all changed when he joined the Hitler Youth when he was thirteen.
The Pipers said it was a good way for secluded young Klaus to make new freinds, and Klaus loved the political views of the National Socialist Party. Every couple of days Klaus dressed up in his brown coat, cap, and his black boots and went out to the Hitler Youth meeting in the basement of the local library. They were directed by 18 year old Franz Grau, who later enlisted with Klaus in the Wehrmacht. Dr. Piper was delighted by Klaus's intrest in politics, and the doctor joined the SA. Father and son, they were both proud members of the Nazi Party.
When Hitler rose to power, Klaus counted the days until he could join the SS medical corps. In 1937, Klaus was finally old enough, but he was denied from the SS because of his English heritage. A bit dissapointed, Klaus enlisted in the Wehrmacht Medical Corps.
Military Rank: Sanitätsunteroffizier

Klaus scrambled across the rocks, trying the best to not trip. "Get up there, Piper!" One of the soldiers ordered from a few feet behind the medic. Klaus looked behind him to answer the soldier, but a bullet caught the man's neck, tearing through the tendon and spraying a crimson mist out through the air. A gurgling sound escaped the man's mouth as dark blood oozed across the sandy stones covering the hill's edge. Klaus began to run towords the soldier to see if he could help, but decided it would probably be futile and Klaus didn't want to be caught by one of the British bullets that had just entered the man's neck. Continuing up the rocky slope, Klaus hoped for the best.
Klaus had been sent with his squad to fortify a small African village near the coast, but it had ended up backfiring. Badly. Two platoons of British soldiers assalted the village, quickly toppling the German defenses. Klaus and six other men had been sent behind MG position on top of a hill to provide support, and now the main gunner had been wounded in the shoulder, and it was Klaus's duty to patch him up and get him back to firing on the rapidly advancing British troops.
As Klaus clumsily reached the top of the hill, his dust-coated jackboot had been caught between two rocks, and the German landed painfully on his knees. He hugged the medical bag that hung from his shoulder close to his chest, bracing for the fall down the hill. He did not want any of the bottles to break, for then it would be next to impossible to subdue the wound on the gunner's shoulder. Klaus's helmet tumbled off his head as he slid down the rocks, squeezing his eyes closed as the stones painfully bounced off his head. Then suddenly a pair of strong hands lifted Klaus from the ground, hoisting him to his feet. It was Feldweble Hoffman! "Sir, I thought you were dead!" Klaus yelled happily. "Not yet, Piper. Now go fix up that gunner!" Klaus nodded and hurried over to the small wooden hovel were a MG42 lay, unmanned. A screaming man lay at the bottom of the hovel, clutching his bleeding shoulder. "Soldier! Calm down, it will be all right...It will be alright..." Klaus spoke, digging in his leather medical bag. Pulling out a Morphine Syrette, Klaus picked up the soldiers arm and stuck the Syrette into the blue vain. Pulling out the Syrette and tossing it aside, Klaus dug in his bag again to see if there was something to stop the bleeding with. "Shush soldier, it will be alright...It will be alright..."
