Skype Events!

Hey everyone!

I got thinking... Wouldn't it be awesome if we done a Skype event every so often, gathering the I.O community together and just having a little fun! Whether it's just a chat, playing a game together or whatever else.

So who's up for this?
I was thinking we could all band together one night and perhaps play some Cards Against Humanity (on an online site called Pretend You're Xyzzy - which is essentially and online version of Cards Against Humanity) and just having a laugh.

We could also host online gaming events, whether it's playing a free online game like Generals & Heroes (a WWII shoot-em-up) or something else, either way, it'd be a bit of fun I think it could bring the community together all the more if we hosted some casual events like this.

Obviously we have the issue of timezones, so we'd have to arrange some multiple events or arrange the events so the majority can take part. Hell, you could even host your own event if you missed out!

We should just use UTC to calibrate our times. I can't tomorrow evening at 11:00 UTC. I think it'd be awesome to talk to everyone sometime, even if we didn't end up gaming. Skype partehhh

Just a little update with this Skype event business...

A group has already been created and myself, Macster, Schell', Panzer and Dom are active members in it. I believe Heiko and Falk' have been invited (due to already being on Skype), but if you want an invite to the Skype group then message one of the active group members or myself.

In other news, we're currently talking about doing a few different events. Dom has suggested about doing a "drawing" event, where we can all doodle randomly in a private group session via' an online piece of software. I've suggested a Cards Against Humanity event. Is there anything you guys would like to do as an event within this community?

I think the best course of action is to get added into the Skype group first, then from there we can see who's online and perhaps negotiate an event around our online time. I think it'll be a good little community get-together. If you have headsets with a microphone, awesome, if not then it's not a necessity, you can still type and send messages.

So... Who wants an invite to the Skype group?
Then we can negotiate a day to get together for some shenanigans.

When we do have something planned out, I'd highly prefer it be on the weekend. Makes it a lot easier for me, and hopefully everyone else.

Yeah weekends would work for me too. Q w Q I'm up late so I'm good with any time so long as it isn't in the middle of the afternoon or morning cuz I have to run some errands outside and I'd be away from my lap top for a while.
