Prisoner of War RULES! (POW)
[/B][/CENTER]Yes, you may become a POW!
Now read the following steps carefully, these are crucial.
- If you’re wounded, unable to fight anymore - you will Not
[/li][li] When taking a POW, you may take all of their belongings, including weaponry and any other items. PLEASE state this at the TOP or BOTTOM of your post in bold writing, that you are ‘Disarming’ the person of certain items, any items you do not state you have found or disarmed them off, will not be removed. So be descriptive when searching them or removing their weaponry, please also state if you KEEP their weaponry or discard of it.
[/li][li] When taking enemy weaponry, this may conflict with weaponry you already have. So be careful when selecting what you wish to keep, as this may conflict with primary or secondary weaponry you already have. Meaning you’d have to sell some weaponry… Let’s face it, it’s unrealistic to be walking around with several weapons.
[/li][li] Surrendering Enemies; If an enemy surrenders, it is by law of the Geneva Convention he or she is entitled to be taken prisoner. If you are found killing prisoners unlawfully, you could face punishment yourself, but this is war after-all and how you treat your enemy is entirely your choice.
[/li][li] When the person becomes a POW, they are then strictly restricted to ONLY posting in the Allied Prison area. Allied Members may start threads for the prisoner to take place in and vice versa, but the Prisoner may not role play anywhere else. No hostile threads or Axis neutral threads.
[/li][li] At any time, the Allies may prosecute/execute their prisoner. This is how it works;
Prosecution:
- Allies may Prosecute the Prisoner, this could range from a board ban from a few days, to weeks, to months, but once their sentence is over, they may begin role playing like normal again, if ever again. For the prosecution to take effect, the Allies must have two or three Commanding Officers (C.O ranks) in agreement upon their prisoner’s sentence. If their sentence is extortionate and unrealistic, this could be made void and overturned.
- Allies may set a Bail Charge too, this bail charge is the standard price paid to the Allies (only once) for the release of the prisoner. Releasing the Prisoner doesn’t give the member all their items back, but they do gain a standard issued rifle again.
- Allies may also Execute their prisoner at any moment. This has to be done during Role Play with their captive, as the shot will have to be marked as ‘Fatal’, but don’t think just anyone can enter and shoot the Prisoner; You will need confirmation from your Commanding Officer, if they do not do it themselves.
- However… If you wish to Prosecute & Set a bail charge, you won’t be able too.
Setting a bail charge enables the Prisoner to Role Play in the Prison area, until their release or execution, whilst the prosecution is a sentence given to the prisoner to wait out. So the following equations follow;
Prosecution is a Sentence to Wait out (This could range from days/weeks/months) --> Release.
(May not be executed or Set a Bail Charge)
Bail Charge is a Sentence to Wait until it’s paid --> Release (Without charge) or Execution.
(May not be Sentenced to a timely release)

NPC POWs:
Yes, NPCs may become POWs.
If you capture an NPC during battle or the NPC is forced to surrender, then you may do as you please with this unit during the thread. Read the guidelines below for more details;
- Capturing an NPC as a POW, strips the member's control of that NPC completely. So the person who lost their NPC to the enemy, will not be able to control that unit anymore...
- The captured NPC becomes under the control of the MOD-MARKER. The capturing member may push and pull the prisoner from location to location, but they may not control the prisoner personally. So they may not control the NPC speaking, moving or performing actions as if it were their own unit.
- At anypoint during the battle, the Mod-Marker may control the POW Unit; So if they feel that the POW may be in the right frame of mind and physical condition to try and escape, than the Mod-Marker may do so. Same with any offensive actions towards other enemy units...
- If the capturer manages to hold the NPC POW until the end of the battle, they will be granted 1 NPC Soldier and even, possibly, an additional lump of bonus CP for capturing an enemy POW or abiding by the Geneva Convention (rules of war).
- So if a Private NPC is captured, than the capturer will gain a Private NPC... If a Corporal or Sergeant NPC is captured, than the enemy will either gain a Corporal or Sergeant NPC. Y'see how this works now? So if you captured a whole platoon of men, then you will get a whole platoon of men in return. At the end of the battle.
- NPC POWs can not be executed or put on ransom after the battle. Once the NPC is captured, they are essentially converted into a unit for yourself. However, they will not be the same person, of course, so the captured NPC vanishes and may never be retrieved again.
