Honestly? I guess there are no other RPG's that could attract me like I.O. does. Mainly because world war II is one of my main interests. And I just like the idea of reliving that period. (only in a gamey way of course)
But one of the worst things to me are these typical RPG's, settled in a medieval world with dwarves, elves and ogres. Maybe I do just lack the phantasie for it, but that's absolutely not my cup of tea.
IO but without a set outcome. As it stands we're playing with the understanding that Germany and Co will eventually lose. I'd like an RPG in which my actions could actually effect the outcome of the war. And coupled with that idea, The Soviet Union would not be considered an "Allied" power, but a force all on it's own.

Werewolf and Vampire, High School and Harry Potter RP's! Not.
I like original ones that aren't based off movies. I was once on a ship one that was interesting. You could request a certain job on the ship, like Gunner, cook, etc. But, it died up.

I have always thought that an Ancient Roman RPG would be great. ;D
You could be Roman Legionary/Auxilla member, Roman politician/civilian, Barbarian warrior or civilian, Berber, Spaniard, Persian, Thracian, ect. Instead of units, there would be different cohorts for the Romans and different tribes for the Barbarians and foreigners. [Gaul, Germania, Thrace, ect.].

That is my nerdy ancient history side run rampant
Yeah, that'd be cool. Big fan of ancient history, moi. For the only time in history, the Italians whipped the Brits' arses.
The basis would be much like this, with members joining from the ranks of enlisted to Major General. (for the Union, if it is Confederate, then it would just be General as they don't have ranks for their generals.) Members could then purchase things in the shop from Parrot Cannons, Napolean Cannons, and Iron Clad Vessals to Calvary, Sharpshooters, and simple infantry. Of course, you could buy weaponry too, but the standard weapon would most likely be a Smoothbore Hunting Rifle or an Enfield for the Union and a Sharps for the South.

As much as the Civil War was great and interesting and as much as the ancient times were brutal. I'm very interested in the Cold War setting.
Not much was known about the Cold War that's why I think it would be very interesting to see what knowledge people would bring. Not just with the use of American Green Berets and Marines or the Spetznas and the Russian Army. But also with foreigners such as: mercenaries, traders, informats, and just normal civilians caught up in the middle of things.
Death is imminent. The only way to control it is to choose how you die. A coward or a hero.

I would love to see an IO WWIII? Not to spill the beans big man or Punk, but JT and Danny had a brilliant RPG they were working on a while back and I was, still am very eager to join it when it opens. From what I saw, if I'm allowed to disclose the fact I was given a peek to cheer me up at the time, it's basically IO in an Apocalypse era. IO-Future?
Looked brilliant, it truly did and with Danny being one of the greatest RPG makers I know and JT being such a down to Earth guy with so many fantastic ideas and warming persona, the two of them have or shall I say, still are making a very brilliant looking RPG together.
My vote is for their RPG. Shame there isn't an option. - Raf

One RP, that I like, and trying to make right now, Is World Nations RP. World Nations is where there are the countrys of the world, and then, you can join and a Soldier, Civilian, Scientist, or if it is not occupied, be President of. The president needs to buy guns to supply his army with. He is on his own with that part. Each MILITARY scientist recieves a handgun when joining. Each country decides who is their Allie, who is their enemy. So, yeah.
I couldn't see my ideal RPG in the choices, so picked book/film because I guess it could be James Bond IO. With cloak and dagger spies vs Evil Genius/Spies vs governments blowing WMDs and assassinating modern day Hitlers.
Although I'm too busy to keep active with one site, so I'm good with IO.
