The further down the path they walked the more there seemed to be leafs and churned up dirt. That worried CJ, it would be near imposable to spot a mine or a tripwire, and he wasn't willing to take a chance by walking through it. He dropped to a knee and waved the others toward him. "All right, dieser Weg ist nicht mehr sicher, es gibt zu viele Blätter und seine gruben sich in zu viele Punkte, um zu sehen, eine Mine. Von nun an geht niemand über den Weg, in der Tat gibt es so viel Abstand wie möglich, Gerwulf Sie fallen hinter mir, Claus bleiben hier, um ein wenig zu informieren und den Kapitän nicht zu Fuß auf den Weg, wenn Sie Ihre Hinter Burkhard."
He got to his feet as Burkhard moved back to the other side; Claus moved off behind him but would wait for the Captain. CJ and Gerwulf remained on the left side of the path and started walking again. Together they scanned the trees, the bushes, rocks, anywhere that might hide an enemy soldier. CJ wondered just how many opposing troops had been stationed in the simulation to try and stop them, he knew they where resourceful, they had mines, tripwire grenades and Machineguns, and it would make sense for them to have a sniper as well. So far all the positions that would give a sniper a good line of fire on them had been empty, that didn't mean there wasn't a sniper, it just meant they hadn't found him yet.
The going was slow, every bush had to be checked, if anything suspicious caught their attention they would have to investigate to make sure there was no threat. Suddenly CJ's blood froze, something was tumbling though the air, too big and falling to fast to be a leaf, It looked more like a thick stick, the object landed two inches in front of his feet, he instantly recognized it for a Grenade. Kneeling down he quickly picked the Grenade up and with a grunt launched it back the way it came. "Nehmen Sie decken" He dove behind a tree, as did the others just as the training grenade exploded. A cry of pain reached their ears and a soldier stumbled out from behind a bush where the grenade had fallen, he was rubbing his eyes from the flash and one of his arms where bleeding, they may be training grenades but they would still hurt at close range.
CJ and the others all opened fire on the staggering man, the bushes further down the path erupted with mussel flashes, if the grenade hadn't been thrown they would have walked right into the crossfire of the ambush. The scouts returned fire, the man who had been hit with the grenade sat down on the side of the path holding his arm. CJ hated firefights with blanks, it was so hard to tell who was hit and who wasn't, regardless all four of them continued firing, CJ looked back at Gerwulf. "Sagen Sie der Kapitän zu umgehen, vielleicht kann er oder sie schleichen Hinterhalt Vergangenheit bis zum Ende des Pfades, dass alle Dinge ist und ihm die Gefangenen wieder auf den Bunker, wir halten diese Menge für so lange wir können. Aber das ist seine Entscheidung."
"Mit Feuer!" He shouted out to the others, as one the three of them fired a volley of blanks at the bushes that contained the enemy troops Gerwulf made a break for it, sprinting back to the Captain, CJ had counted only three mussel flashes. But the noise of the fight would draw the remaining soldiers to this position. All he could do was wait, and shoot.
Translations:
1. All right, this path is no longer safe, there are too many leafs and its dug up in too many spots to see a mine location. From now on no one walks on the path, in fact give it as much distance as you can, Gerwulf you'll fall behind me, Claus stay here for a little and inform the Captain not to walk on the path, when you do your behind Burkhard.
2. Take cover
3. Tell the Captain to go around, maybe he can ambush them or sneak past to the end of the path, all that matters is him and the prisoners get back to the bunker, we'll hold this lot for as long we can. But the decision is his.
4. Covering fire!
