Ethan smiled at Tom's joke. It was inevitably terrible but at least the Private was making an effort to drag himself out of his shadow of despair. The Lieteunant wiktdrew a small ring of keys from his pocket and gave them a jingle. He cautiously found the correct key, a silver, rusty old item, and thrusted it into the cell's keyhole. He twisted it with a creak and a second later the cell door swung open.
"Freedom," he grinned.
