OOC: Addie if you would like to handle Giles actions I am ok with that, just getting this post in before I go so I don't leave you hanging too badly, but my muse is more or less used up for the day, sorry
IC: As they approached the fence post he had been using to count his laps they came to a stop and Patterson dismounted the creature. The Captain nodded to the woman thanking her for the compliment, his head was swollen from it for a few seconds, but he knew he still had a long way to go before he was a skilled rider so that leveled him a bit. He walked up toward the front of the horse and held his hand out once more in case he wanted to smell Henry again, then he ran his hand down the side of the animal's neck a few times and with a light pat he headed off toward the fence line...halfway there he realized he had been sweating a bit in the leather saddle and his pants were more or less sticking to him, a bit uncomfortable to say the least, so before he joined the rest of the on lookers he ducked into the small building next to the stable to square himself away.
A minute or so later he returned outside and looked around for Giles who was making his way over to the animal to try his hand. A quick look and Henry knew Giles wanted out of this idea but Patterson only smiled signifying that Giles didn't have a choice in the matter. The Captain joined the small gathering of spectators as told. He joined in the small talk as best he could, but his mind was elsewhere, this new found skill he would eventually acquire, Giles hopefully going to look like more of a fool than he did, and Amanda, she was always on his mind.
