David lay panting on the roof top after making a desperate dash to get there. In seconds he had regained his energy and got into a crouched position. He heard gunfire quickly turned pointing his Bren Gun in the direction of the sound. Only to see his brother Rhys on the roof of the nearest house opening fire on the enemy.
David then noticed the enemy Captain advancing into the house obviously trying to corner Rhys. David felt that Rhys was a good combatant and would have little trouble taking on the lone German. David also knew that if the other Germans were aloud to swarm the house Rhys would not stand a chance against such numbers armed with a bolt action rifle.
David decided he would have to provide accurate suppressing fire and also attempt to take down as many foe's as he could.
He lay down prone on the roof and calmly deployed the bipod under the Bren Gun to keep it stable. he then made sure his body was pointing naturally at the target. he began to control his breathing. He breathed in and out heavily twice then he folded the out breath and fired two bursts of four shot's at each of the enemy Privates.
He then rolled over to a part of the roof where he would be out of sight of the enemy. David then lay there hoping he had provided enough support for his brother.

The following actions have been made: - David, firing at the German's behind the rubble, although from an elevated position, you were unable to hit any of them, the angle you are firing from is not much of an advantage, your were however, successful in keeping them pinned down.
Friedrich was just about to make a run for it when shots rained down around him, smacking into rubble. He dropped to the ground, keeping as low as possible. Crap! We're never going to get to Kriegheld if they keep up the fire like this. He thought as sweat dripped down his brow. His palms were sweaty as he gripped his K98 tightly. "Du zwei! Bereite dich vor, einen Lauf dafür zu machen, sobald er nachlädt! he said harshly to the two soldiers beside him.
If they were going to get out alive, they had to get on the offensive, and they weren't going to do that lazing around behind the rubble. Friedrich already had it planned out in his head how they were to take out their fire discipline on the roofs, and at the same time, come to the Hauptsturmführer's aid.
Rhys swore heavily as he heard the steady thump of footsteps from downstairs. He scanned the battlefield for a way out of the bloodbath that was sure to follow if he did nothing but stand there like a sitting duck. Sending a couple of warning shots towards the stairs in a bid to scare the captain off, Rhys charged forward, ready to dive down to the smaller building to his side. He hesitated for a second, a touch afraid of the leap ahead but, after a moment of calmness, he dived down to the rough surface of the neighbouring roof. He steadied his breathing and, now with a better view than ever of the targets. sent a barrage of seven bullets towards the two unsuspecting German privates.
It had been a crucial moment for the battle and Rhys knew that he couldn't afford any slip-ups. It had been little short of a point black shot and so Rhys had been confident that at least one of his shots had made contact but he couldn't be sure. It was as though his entire body was on fire when he was in the zone. The bullets had hammered down on the foe like a rain of death.
Rhys was still cautious however. The German captain was agonisingly close, but there was nothing he could do about it at present. No. It was down to his brother to deal with him.
OOC: I'll upload the map later but I think it's pretty obvious what I've done. I'll leave Logan and Diaz' actions for David to decide in the next post.

The following actions have been made:
- Rhys, firing toward the stairs accomplished keeping the German Soldier from rushing you momentarily. Unfortunately on your "dive" you landed on a small rock, not much bigger than a marble, the bad part is that you landed on it with a rib and cracked it. Firing at the Germans on the ground then proved a problem, your body felt like it was on fire for another reason. Firing quickly, not sure why you would think it to be a point blank shot but none the less, you did manage to hit Ferrell in his left calf muscle, he will be moving slowly for the duration of this battle. Rhys, why did you put yourself "behind" the building on the map if you wanted to be on top of it?
Hey guys, May I just add something? The Lee-Enfield MK4 does have a 10 Bullet capacity size, but has to be loaded in two consecutive clips of 5 rounds (as David Mentioned above).
However, I do mention SO many times, hammering off rounds from a rifle in mass sizes won't get them marked accurately. For all us as Mod-Markers can figure, you're hastily reloading and popping random shots off towards the sky - Rifles are meant to be accurate shots, if you want to do mass firing, buy a machine-gun. But seriously, if you're going to use the capacity of the ten round limit in one post, at least make it a bit more descriptive, other than "sent a barrage of seven bullets towards the two unsuspecting German privates".
You do realise, after the bolt-action reload of the second/first shot, they would've been alerted to your position? So shooting several in consistancy of continous reloading after every shot and quick firing is looked upon us as Staff to be - uneffecient firing. You haven't even named what you was aiming at? Say taking careful aim on one of the German's torso's or his head even! So please, when using RIFLES, make your shots count. They're the standard weapon, slow reload and not the best.
Anyway, keep the OOC to a limit here guys, hate to spam this thread anymore. McMillan, if you'd like help marking this at any point, let me know. Thanks guys, ~Danny

OOC: I know theres a lot of blue lines on the map but david is positioned where he end's up at the end. The blue lines show him crawling there and running back again. I didn't show movement lines for Diaz and Logan as that would be confusing.
David knowing that the enemy had been pinned down he decided it was time to get closer. He ran as fast as he could down the stairs to the ground floor. He then stopped and got down Prone.
Being carefull to keep to the shadows where his Black camo would have the most effect. He crawled painfully slowly towards along the street occasionally he stopped and waited for the enemy to be distracted in order for him to move forward.
He reached a point in the street where he was close to the enemy.
He drew his frag grenade and aimed for the centre of the three Germans behind the rubble it was a moderately close throw he knew he would not miss. He remembered there was a four second fuse on the grenade and knew he had to cook it for two seconds for maximum effectiveness. He lifted his arm in preparation for an over arm throw to get the grenade to pass over the rubble where the enemy were taking cover. After cooking the grenade for two seconds David then stood up and lobbed the grenade into the heart of the Enemy.
Then eager to return to safety David ran full pelt away from the enemy whithout looking back. He reached the furthest house where he readied his Bren Gun ready to deal with anyone who tried to follow him.
"Get over here" he shouted in a commanding voice and Logan and Diaz sprinted over to his position. “Get to the roof and fire at those men I just chucked my grenade at if there still alive“.
Diaz and Logan got to the roof hastely and got down prone. Then the two sighted the enemys behind the rubble and made sure their body positions pointed naturally towards the targets which were the german privates. Then they held the buts of their rifles into their shoulders and looked down the sights. Then they began to breathe in and out heavily and then when they breathed out they folded the breath and simultaneously sent two bullets cleaving through the air towards their targets.

David I must say, that was a well written post, even though not lengthy, I enjoyed it, very descriptive on your movement, and yes, that does help!
The following actions have been made:
- David, moving in the prone and trying your best to stay in the shadows has kept your movement from being detected allowing you the element of surprise with your grenade. The effects were horrendous, Ferrell has been instantly killed, Hauffman will be dead in the next Axis post if not removed from the battlefield and the same goes for Friedrich. Retreating back with Logan and Diaz along with the loud noise has afforded Kriegheld a brief window of retaliation. You shots from the roof however were poorly placed due to the debris still hanging in the air.

OOC: I have to object to a degree. This battle has been played out almost entirely by David Bevan. It seems he has been running all over the place. Not to mention the fact that he ran right into the building I was in to throw his grenade. After throwing his grenade from the building I was located in, he 'quickly' ran back to his building and got the Bren gun ready. Not only that, but the two NPCs on the roof are armed with Enfields; how do they give covering fire? It seems, to me, that David Bevan has done a lot of running around and the axis has done fairly descriptive posts of their actions. I did however write my post as McMillan ordered it.
Everything seemed to happen so fast. Hauptsturmführer Kriegheld heard the explosion of a grenade and quickly looked to see the other three soldiers lying on the ground. The devils, these evil men and killed my comrades he thought as he sprinted out of the building and grabbed Rottenführer Schüler and heaved on to his back. He heard gunfire behind him as he began running away, using the flying debris from the grenade as cover. He finally reached a building and sat Rottenführer Schüler in a hidden place. Hauptsturmführer Kriegheld knew he couldn't risk running out again to save Hauffmann.
He quickly got Rottenführer Schüler on his back again and hiked into the rubble of the city. Sturmbannführer Wolfram would be very displeased with this failure. hartwig hoped the man could understand how the battle went out when he wrote the report.
Friedrich stood up slowly as the dust cleared all around him. Ferrell lay dead in the rubble next to him, bloody from the shrapnel wounds. Friedrich staggered away from the battle, his knees wobbling the entire way. His face was grimy and dirty and his hands were shaky as sweat poured over his face, its sweet, salty tang painful against his bloody lips. "Weiche zurück! he yelled to noone in particular. With Haufmann dying and Ferrell dead, there wasn't much he could do but run.
"Haufmann... he said sadly, dragging his rifle behind him and taking his stahlhelm off as he reached a thickly wooded area. He cursed under his breath and sat next to a bush, thinking of the day's events and planning on getting back to the Hauptsturmführer.

Huaffman has died due to being left on the battlefield in pretty rough shape.
The following CP is to be issued:
- Rhys (VICTORY) 30CP - As much as you don't like what I put you through I still want to say that you did a good job in this one as short as it turned out to be, you took the high ground and kept the enemy under heavy pressure.
- David (VICTORY) 30CP - Well what is there to say, great move, but don't let it go to your head too much, not too often you get the chance to throw a grenade into a bunch of huddled enemy soldiers. If your unit commander would like to promote you for this battle, just let him know that I will approve it.
- Hartwig (DEFEAT) 20CP - You as well did a good job in this battle staying on the enemy's heels, giving them no room for error and possible putting Rhys in a tough spot to get out of, but you are also smart enough to know when you have caught a bad break and get out of there.
- Friedrich (DEFEAT) 20CP - Well, uh, you left your men in one position, allowed them to be pinned and they never really got the chance to get into the battle costing both of them their lives. I wish you better luck in future engagements.
