As he hummed along with the music that honored his beloved Fatherland he could hear glass smashing in the distance, and seconds later the Brit was trying to shoot him from across the street. Jonas was of course in too much of a defense position for that. The bullet whizzed by and the Hauptmann rose from his position slightly so that he could aim over the table. The bullet spiraled out of the rifle and hopefully towards the Recon Scout who was in the opposite window. Mainly as a warning shot to keep his head down.
Once he had let out his bullet and released it's shell, the Aryan Captain got low and shoulder rammed the table with might. It screeched across the floor until it finally blocked off the whole of the window. Silently, Jonas crept back to his old spot in the abandoned French restaurant. The window he had been using previously had been shattered by Jonas's rifle so that there were no sharp edges around the window. Perfect how it worked out for the middle-aged man in the end. From the Brit's position in the neighboring building, he wouldn't spot the German's exit. And he'd probably be far too busy trying to take cover.
As silent as possible, Jonas reached his left foot out the window and placed it firmly on the ground. Then he gently lifted his right foot over as he stood perpendicular to the window, and balanced himself as he managed to step out of the window without making any noise. Keeping his back to the wall, he slowly moved around the corner trying not to step on any glass to make noise.
Upon sneaking around the corner, Jonas crouched down and began to move as fast as possible without making any noise. Turning another corner, he slowed until he reached the end and halted.
It was deathly silent as Jonas peered around the corner, his rifle steadied on the windows across the street. He saw no figures moving or any silhouettes so he assumed it was safe to presume the recon scout was hiding. Now was his time to move and he had to execute it quickly.
Jonas nearly threw himself onto the street and around the corner, dashing like a wild man. The sound obviously to make his foe believe he was heading for the shattered window, but in fact it wasn't. As Jonas crossed over into the grass, he fired a shot through the window, not to hit the man, but to keep him down. Then he slammed himself into the door, before averting back to stealth.
Keeping low enough to pass beneath the window, Jonas turned the corner of the building as quickly as he could. Hopefully drawing his attention away from this side of the building, Jonas was crouched by the window on the scout's right flank, and bashed the window in with the butt of his rifle. As soon as his rifle smashed through the window, Jonas had sprung up at the window and aimed his rifle screaming "Drop ze veapon!" As he spotted the Brit and opened fire once more, towards the torso of the man who was crouching down behind and piano for cover. Never would have seen Jonas until it was too late.
