I'll fight. I'm known for going through with half-though out schemes like this. I have about 2 squads worth of Pvts and a Cpl sat around for NPCs.

I could get a Special Unit as well, if you want to bring your MG out to play?

Hmmm... Tell you what, just simply because of your cert, you could turn this into a overkill within the first post, but I'm not willing to let that deter me if you're happy to meet somewhere in the middle.

If me and Merhoff enter the battle (already lost full command of my battle with Merhoff on my side, damn!) and you enter alone (with NPCs of course), you then have the option of artillery or reinforcements to call in. I know it starts off as 1 vs. 2, but to be honest, 2 vs. 2 and then it suddenly becomes 2 vs. 3 is rather annoying, because I wanted a small battle to start with and that will just blow things out of proportion immediately.

So I was thinking...

Axis:
Me and Merhoff. 6 Corporal/Private units and 2 special units still.

Allied:
You and the option to call in whoever. 4 Privates/Corporals and 1 special unit. If your reinforcement call goes through, you could potentially double your numbers almost immediately or if you call in artillery, wipe us out practically from the word go.

So you have the upper hand, only difference being, there's two axis members and the odd extra NPC between us. Which you can outnumber and the likes easily if successful.

Merhoff you happy with that? Or not? Nathan/George?

To be honest, I don't really like that, for the simple reason that there are no really active Allied Members sitting around off the top of my head, and American Artillery doesn't exist.

If you want, we could do a 1v1 or 2v2, and I could give you my word as a Gentleman not to call for reinforcements for X amounts of turns?

Also, to be honest, I know full well to enter a 2v1 against you and Erik is practically suicide!

Fair enough, hmmph. To be honest, it's only your cert' that puts me off, because if you did enter with someone else, I still have the feeling you're going to call in a third party as soon as someone becomes free and it's only natural to do so, because it's a game/war and we all want to win.

Plus even if you did enter with an ally and vowed not to call in any other party members, then you're certainly going to rein-fire on us and we're not even going to be bringing a radioman. Christ, if we did, you'd probably feel awkward too - no? So meh' it's a difficult situation. I'm not knocking you for your cert, but it does put a dampner on things.

Only other thing I can think off, is a 1 vs 1, I'll bring a few extra units and you can call in reinforcements or artillery. Otherwise, I think it's probably best we meet between the lines somewhere, if you wanted it 2 vs 2...

Well, as I said due to the lack of hardware, I can't call in Artillery.

At the very most, I can pull out 1 Cpl, 1 Speical Unit and 18 Pvts (don't want to bring that many, though), so if you want to do a 1v1 along those lines I think that would be the best option. If you must know to reassure you, I'd mke the special unit a second radioman and use it to contact him.

I think perhaps the 1v1 and if I promise not to cal lsupport for 5 turns, and then there would need to be 1 or 2 more for anything to arrive we'd have the best solution. No offense to any of them, but I'm not too thrilled at the idea of fighting you and Erik with a Newb on my side.

If you want to outnumber me slightly, thats fine, but obviously I don't want to find my squad and a half facing an entire platoon of Germans.

In that case, I think a 1v1, with you slightly outnumbering me is the best option Danny. So how about (for me)

13 Pvts (2 squads worth, by the proper, British system once the Specialist is in the ranks)

Mmkay, tell you what, let's have a ruddy-good-show then! Personally, I don't think a moderator would even think it's realistic to call in reinforcements the very moment you enter battle or artillery for that matter and I guess I'm seasoned enough in experience to know what I'm putting myself in for. Sure I can handle the heat. If I don't, then who will?

So you're bringing;
- 1 Corporal
- 1 Radioman
- 5 Privates

Correct? Whilst we're being honest, are you fine with me bringing;
- 1 Sergeant
- 1 MG Gunner
- 5 Privates

Same number of units on the field, I just have a better NCO and a couple of better pieces of equipment (MG/MP40 for SGT). If that's sorted, then how would you like to start the battle? Do we fight for the buildings? Both enter from south/north and advance on middle or did you want a defend and attack situation. Someone occupies the middle and the opposite creeps in for an advance.

Oh - by the way, Calliopes on a sized map like this, will be absurd. The blast radius of those things and the fact they're 'rockets', makes them quite inaccurate. I think you'd kill us both. But anyway, lemme' know your thoughts and we can get this started.

Just to let you know though, I won't be around over Christmas much, understandably, so Dan/Nathan, don't pull your hair out with me if I don't show up for a day or two at a time. Anyway, yes, I'm happy for either Dan or Heiko to moderate this battle. I think I'm going to be in another battle soon with Askel Bevan, a battle Heiko will be moderating.

Those numbers sound fine to me. I think your pair of automatic weapons makes up for the fact that everyone of my guys has a Semi-Automatic weapon.

Being a Normandy thread, if I start in the North, and you in the South and we both try and get hold of the village, it should have the most historic relevance, and don't worry about missing a few days, here and there, I appreciate not everyone can spend the next month sat around the house.
