The parachute had snagged on a tree as i had dropped from the sky. I was deep behind enemy lines. The rest of my platoon had disappeared as we had made the jump. I decided to try and keep my head down low so that the Nazis didn't know I was here but as i kept moving I felt as if I was beeing watched. I walked for about a mile when that person caught up with me.
'Who are you' I asked him.'
He mumbled something in German.
'I can't understand you,'I tied to tell him.
He changed from his native tounge and began speaking in broken english.
'Are you english,' he asked with apause between each word as he struggled to remember what to say.
'Yes I am,' I replied 'What's your name.'
He stared at me silently. I now realised that he did not understand my question. I asked him why he was here.
'I am here to kill english.'
'Well you're not going to kill me!' I whipped my pistol out of it's holster and shot him in his heart. I turned and ran a few hundred metres and carried on walking towards my destination. First kill of the day.
