Big Problem

Hey Guys,

Probably noticed I haven't been around for a few days, well, my computer has gone bust and I'm currently on a friend's laptop. It's a serious problem and even myself, being a IT Pioneer of sorts, can't even fix it. Think I've busted my Hard-drive...

Anyway, overall, I'm going to have to buy a new computer/hard-drive. Which could take a couple of weeks or what not to go through. I've briefly skimmed through some things on here and I can clearly say, thank god it hasn't died without me.

I was always worried if ever something happened to me - like this - that this place wouldn't go off the rails. So a big hats off to the staff continuing to do their jobs, thank you. Again, real sorry for any bother guys, girls, but I'm not going to be able to reply to any threads or anything for a little while.

I can try my best to get online like this, but other than that, I'm not entirely going to be very active until I get my bloody problem sorted with the computer. Real sorry guys.

It's OK, PuNk. Not your fault your computer broke. Unless of course you broke it, in which case it is your fault, but we wouldn't hold it against you anyway! ;D

I'm on an Apple Laptop at the moment, it sucks. I can't even right click my words to spellcheck them.

Sorry to hear about the bust Danny, hope it all works out, in a very cheap way. I have a pretty sweet Alienware Laptop, same problem, hard drive crapped out on me

We can handle it, but if half the site is banned when you get back, it was Nathan, not Dan and I getting drunk and mad

Just an update;

Still browsing for a computer - preferably a desktop - but I've found some really good ones; buying a £200 monitor for christmas. It's basically a 22" mini television [slash] monitor. So playing my xbox and using the computer should be more pleasurable come day and night.

Just hang in there guys, assuming everything is going well here so far without me?
Real sorry about this happening, one of those things. Take it easy guys.

More than likely. Well, I'm bit of a computer freak and I currently have a flat-dell 19" monitor. just think, I could use two monitors when I get the daddy-O one christmas. >:] Lmao. But that would be like, sitting in front of a microwave... 19" one side and a 22" directly in front of me, frying my eye sockets. Ouch.

Anyway, I'm still looking at a range of computers to buy, but I do still have my laptop to pop on here and check up things. Never get an Apple-Mac, I can't even right click on this bloody thing! So although it's possible for me to write up posts, RP ones if wanted, they would be pretty crap and plus, there's no PAINT on here - so I wouldn't be able to edit any maps. Big bummer. Won't be long until i do get a new computer, just need patience my pretties.

But yeah, anyone with xbox live can chat to me when-ever, I've been on there a fair bit since there's little I can do online at the moment.

Interesting, I have a dell 19" flat screen extending my HP Pavilion laptop screen. So I have two screens and some pretty goo speakers. I don't know what people have against laptops, they're so much easier to use. However, macs are a pain in the ass.

Oh right, well PC Laptops - granted, are much better use. Apple Mac (anything Mac orientated) are the biggest pain in the arse pieces of equipment I've ever come across. Heck, even having an iPod Touch means I can only charge it through a computer with iTunes. Doesn't come with a power-supply charger, you have to plug it in USB wise and charge it through your base.

SO Mac overall are really sophisticated and silly. I've had much less problems using a Linux in the past, in comparison to a bloody Mac! But yeah, things can only get better with the festive season fast approaching.

Anyway, another update on my current situation; I'm going to try and order a computer later, found a nice one suitable for me (thanks to Dell customizing) and depending when I order it, shouldn't take too long for it to arrive. Expecting the christmas period will have them on their toes, ironically.

Hope everyone is alright in my absence? I can see the staff have done so much work, particularly Nathan/Strumfelder with the ranking ladders for new nationalities. Along with the numerous other threads made upon Strum's behalf (explanation threads, the likes). So I'm quite impressed.

All worthy hands will be paid handsomely when I return. I can't thank the staff enough overall, for taking charge and actually, keeping this place sailing. I remember a time when my absence would have been catastrophic! Nothing would have moved or progressed. So I'm actually impressed.

Anyhowww, I have plenty of things to do upon my return. So, go me..!

Ohhh! I forgot to say.
I fully ordered my computer the other day, so it should arrive in a week's time or so. Not long now.
Probably noticed I've been slightly active for the past few days anyway, but I'll be back properly reallll sooooooon!
